Fumbled Your Heart

About

Jezzy Watson has mastered the art of winning.

At just twenty-eight, the Philadelphia native has become one of the most sought-after sports agents in the business, earning an “Agent of the Year” honor at a New York charity event that marks the pinnacle of her professional success. From the outside, her life is everything she once dreamed it would be.

Until she sees Trent Rucker.

Ten years have passed since her high school sweetheart shattered her heart on prom night—walking away from their plans, their future, and the love that once felt unbreakable. Now a star athlete for the New York Giants, Trent’s sudden reappearance forces Jezzy to confront a past she’s worked hard to outrun.

Determined to protect the life she’s built, Jezzy is clear that she’s engaged and no longer the girl who believed love alone could carry her through life. But when Trent insists on making amends, his persistence begins to unravel truths neither of them ever faced—and wounds that time alone could not heal.

As buried pain resurfaces and faith is tested, Jezzy must decide whether forgiveness is possible without reopening old scars, and whether love can survive the things left unspoken.

Fumbled Your Heart is a story of first love, hidden trauma, and the long road toward healing—where success can’t save you, but honesty just might. Love and pain resurface in this novel, where Trent will soon learn that he may have completely fouled out.

Reader note: This novel includes references to sexual assault and abortion. These moments are handled without graphic detail and serve as part of a larger story of healing, faith, and restoration.

Praise for this book

Fumbled your heart is a second chance romance story. Trent plays in the NFL and Jezzy is a Sports Agent. The two were each other's everything as teens but a life changing circumstance left them heartbroken. Jezzy's story was raw and super relatable. I totally understand why she just wanted to put the past behind her. But I loved the reconciliation of the two. It was clear that they missed each other and they were also friends, first. Both were in relationships that were not going anywhere. This story has a good flow, bitter exes, romance, and a strong plot. It details some of the temptations that Christians face in relationships and how they overcome those adversities. It was a good read for me.

My 1st book from this author. She put it down. Not one dull moment throughout the entire book. No real serious cussing or fighting drama. Just good old fashioned love and happiness. Jeezy and Trent got what they deserved. I had a good time reading this and you will too.

I looooooved thissss! Such refreshingly pure love displayed in this one! I could relate to Jezzy in so many ways! I was the church girl who saved myself for my husband! I loved the Spiritual aspect of your writing as well! I will definitely be reading more work by Mya Kay!

I really enjoyed this read. It was so beautiful and refreshing. Mostly it was full of hope and love. Thank you!
